About Us |
FORCE is a
80-page monthly print magazine (with an Internet edition that can be viewed at
www.forceindia.net) on national security with focus in nine areas:
the defence forces, their professional, operational and personnel needs;
procurements by imports and indigenisation; nuclear weapons, delivery systems
and non-proliferation regimes; revolution in military affairs; terrorism and
counter-terrorism; intelligence; paramilitary forces; strategic and
geo-political issues in South Asian region; and the impact of outside powers on
the region. However, of these nine areas, the focus of
FORCE remains the defence services and
their requirements. For this reason, in every issue
FORCE pays attention to procurements by the
armed forces in the light of the new procurement policy of the government of
India. FORCE is not a mere
collection of opinionated articles, it is lively and reader-friendly with human
interest stories pertaining to the defence forces. Our endeavour has been to
reach out to as large a readership in the niche segment as possible, both in
India and abroad, apart from generating interest about national security issues
amongst general readers.
In over six years since its launch in August 2003, FORCE has managed to grab the right eyeballs within the government of India, and the top leadership of the services. Today, FORCE has the largest subscription base from within the three defence services in India. FORCE is also read keenly in the industry, by the policy-makers, the strategic community and the general readers.

A FEW PRESS REVIEWS
A monthly glossy magazine on national security patterned after the
internationally respected Jane Defence Weekly, FORCE, combines in depth
reporting with critical analyses, a rarity in Indian defence reportage. FORCE is
aimed, not just at the soldier or the scholar, but also the diplomat and the
arms merchants. The articles are exhaustive, and some have archival value which
portends well for such a magazine. |
|
The Hindustan Times
(India's leading English daily newspaper) |
FORCE covers a broad range of issues, from higher defence management to
military news and features, para-military matters, military aviation, naval
affairs, border management, diplomacy, and Pakistani and Indian perspectives.
The magazine aims to package news and views like the reputed British
publication, Jane's Defence series. |
